I worked for the Bell company in Switzerland during 2014 as an order picker. Bell is a renowned food company, offering a wide range of meat, poultry, charcuterie and seafood products.
My job was to prepare orders, making sure that quantities and references corresponded to the established order, and to ensure delivery of these orders.
I've learned a lot about working in a company and about discipline, but above all I've developed great stamina in the face of repetitive and sometimes arduous work.
Here are some of the assignments I've carried out at Bell:
- Take note of the orders listed and the goods to be prepared
- Identify merchandise locations
- Apply internal preparation processes (order management, picking, etc.)
- Prepare orders to meet deadlines: processing, constitution, etc.
- Check conformity and condition of products and goods
- Prepare and pack goods for shipment
